Dubai has the densest concentration of boat dealers in the region, and that is exactly the problem: every showroom has an answer, and every answer happens to be the boat they sell.
I don't sell boats for a manufacturer. I work for the buyer — comparing what is genuinely available in the UAE, what the dealer terms actually mean, and what the boat costs to run through a Gulf summer.

Dealer terms
Discount headlines mean little next to warranty scope, delivery slot and what is genuinely included in the handover package. I read the whole offer, not the front page.
Berth first, boat second
In Dubai the berth often decides the boat. Confirming a slot and its annual cost before you commit avoids the most common expensive mistake here.
Questions buyers in the UAE ask
Do I need a licence to drive a boat in Dubai?+
Yes — UAE waters require a recognised licence for the vessel category you intend to operate. It is straightforward to obtain locally, and worth starting before delivery rather than after.
New or pre-owned in the UAE?+
The UAE has a deep pre-owned market, which means good value if the boat has been maintained and stored properly, and a serious liability if it hasn't. Condition history matters more here than almost anywhere else.
What does it cost to run a boat in Dubai?+
Berthing, insurance, servicing and crew (if any) usually dominate — fuel is rarely the biggest line. I build a realistic annual figure per boat so the running cost is a decision, not a surprise.
